Why Business Barn?

By Danny O’Brien, Founder

I worked in New York for a number of years in the world of venture-backed startups, and naturally spent a lot of time in coworking spaces. The concept immediately made sense to me, no complicated leases or long contracts, just simple month to month pricing and an energetic community of like-minded individuals. Upon returning to Ireland, I wanted to continue working in such an environment but living on the outskirts of Dublin, didn’t want to waste time in traffic or on overcrowded buses each day. I decided to set up my own space between Leixlip and Maynooth, taking advantage of the countryside location and proximity to the city.

Business Barn is a unique modern coworking space based in a traditional barn, set on 12 acres of grassland and full of wildlife. We offer a variety of memberships, from part-time coworking to fully furnished private offices. Our convenient location allows for easy access to Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport, both within a 20-minute drive while retaining the charm of countryside.

The fresh environment and views create a productive environment for our members while enjoying all modern office conveniences such as fast internet, boardroom facilities and of course, great coffee. We offer a simple month to month contract giving our members flexibility as their team size changes.

Our growing community is made up of entrepreneurs, freelancers and those working remotely for larger multinationals across various industries. The Barn is also home to the Idea 2 Scale Incubation platform which members can get involved with to help them scale faster.

The Barn is within a 15 min drive for many who live in the Dublin Suburbs, North Kildare, Meath and further afield including Leixlip, Maynooth, Celbridge, Lucan, Dunboyne, Kilcock, Naas, Straffan, Newcastle, Clonee etc. Enquire now about a trial day to come meet our community and explore our space!
